Giving you a real Africa bush veld experience, situated in the Dinokeng Big 5 game reserve, unfenced and wild.

The tents are placed around an open boma fire area, under the trees where animals like Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and Rhino regularly visit the natural water hole, which is visible from the camp. There is plenty of wildlife around the camp depending on period and water availability.

A game Ranger is on duty while guests are in camp for their protection. Certain rules apply in camp which guests are required to adhere to as safety is our priority

A New World to Discover

The Dinokeng big 5 game reserve is home to what is known as The Big 5, which includes lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino with a large quantity of plains game the Dinokeng game reserve is the first Big 5 game reserve in the Gauteng province of South Africa and is bordered by large communities of our indigenous population. It is unique in that the area which presently consists of the game reserve, was previously farming land and many of the owners of this ground still stay on their properties, but have enclosed their residential areas with electrified fencing in order to provide the residents with a reasonable amount of safety from elephant, rhino, predators and other dangerous wildlife.

This Dinokeng game reserve is consistent with efforts which is continuing with further expansion and is comparable to many other Big 5 reserves in South Africa. It is important to note that this initiative can be used as a model for the rest of the African continent to prove that wildlife and humans can co-exist and that communities can benefit from tourism which takes place because of the existence of the big 5. This is, without doubt, the only recipe for the sustainability and future of wildlife on the African continent.
